Basic Deviled Eggs

A favorite at every Southern gathering.


6 hard cooked eggs
teaspoon salt
- teaspoon dry mustard
teaspoon black pepper
3 Tablespoons real mayo
Paprika to taste

Cut the peeled eggs lengthwise in half. Slip out the yolks and place in a small bowl. Mash the egg yolks with a fork. Add the seasonings and mayo and mash again. Fill the egg whites with the egg yolk mixture heaping it slightly. Sprinkle paprika over the eggs to taste. Place in the refrigerator and let the flavors meld for a couple of hours before serving.
